Tracy Watchorn joins 117Live

Dubai-based entertainment company 117Live, part of Al Ahli Holding Group has appointed Tracy Watchorn to the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. With over ten years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, Tracy previously worked with Dubai Rugby Sevens, FIFA World Club and most recently with Flash Entertainment. In her new role, she will play a vital role in upgrading the in-house sales, marketing and digital team as well as overseeing the PR strategies of the company. She will also work with Al Ahli Holding Group’s other business units to ensure synergy between its sister companies as well as contribute to broadening the commercial reach of 117Live’s concert venue and secure new partnership deals.

“With my experience, industry knowledge and strong regional contacts, I hope to further elevate the brand image of 117LIve and expand the portfolio of clients and partners,” says Tracy. “I look forward to working with the dynamic team and continuing to deliver the best that the industry has ever seen.”

FLASH partners with INTERACT

FLASH Entertainment has announced its partnership with Sport Industry Forum Series from 2016 until 2017.  Organised by INTERACT Events, Sport Industry Forum Series consists of a variety of business events targeted to sport business professionals. The one-year partnership will see FLASH Entertainment become an integral part of Sport Industry Forum Abu Dhabi’s working committee with an aim to further enrich the sporting events industry in the UAE.

Create Media Group welcomes new Director

Dubai-based digital communications agency Create Media Group has welcomed Sarah Johnson to the role of Director. Heading up new division Create Content, Sarah brings over 17 years of public relations and communications experience to her new role. As Director, she will be responsible for growing the division and offering clients engaging, diverse and eye-catching content across a 360 platform that includes traditional media as well as digital and social media platforms. Create Media Group’s clients include Standard Chartered Bank, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and Flash Entertainment.

“Clients are all working very differently now, with integrated campaigns and creative content, not conventional PR campaigns, being the key to effective communication,” says Sarah. “With the launch of Create Content, the Create Media Group will offer just that.”

Middle East Event Awards shortlist announced

The Middle East Event Awards 2015 shortlist has been announced. The awards have been split into 20 categories – including Best Corporate Product or Service Launch, Best Event Design, and Employer of the Year – and each is designed to showcase the diversity and excellence of the events and suppliers operating in the Middle East’s event industry. Shortlisted companies include Entourage Marketing and Events, dmg events ME, Viola Communications, ExtraCake and Flash Entertainment.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 3 2015 at the JW Marriot Marquis, decided by a panel of renowned industry figures.
