Markettiers makes new appointment 

Broadcast PR specialists, Markettiers has appointed Cheryl King to the role of Managing Director. With 12 years of experience in PR and communications, Cheryl most recently worked with markettiers and held the role of General Manager where she led the team in delivering three Guinness World Records. In her new role, she will lead the agency to achieve the communication objectives of brands in the region.

Acorn Strategy welcomes Emma Easter 

Marketing and communications consultancy, Acorn Strategy has appointed Emma Easter to the role of Content Manager. With a wealth of experience in digital and SEO copywriting, Emma previously worked with Best Bites Abu Dhabi and most recently worked with eWavelength digital marketing. In her new role, she will join the TwoFour54 team and oversee all digital content strategy, planning and creation.

Broadcast PR specialists, Markettiers has appointed Farah Al Basha to the role of Account Manager. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and over three years of experience in the PR industry, Farah most recently worked with Seven Media where she held the role of PR Manager and worked across clients including Novo Cinemas, Hilton Ras Al Khaimah and Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. In her new role, she will be responsible for supporting the growth of the Arabic arm of the agency, while also leading and producing filming shoots, focusing on broadcast media relations.

Turret Media welcomes Hayley Skirka 

Turret Media has appointed Hayley Skirka to the role of Special Projects Editor. With a wealth of experience, Hayley previously worked with Swiss Media Group as Senior Editor of Equestrio magazine and SWR magazine and most recently worked with Hot Media as the Editor of World Traveller. In her new role, she will create editorials for all projects, while overseeing the work of in-house writers and support the editorial team at Abu Dhabi World.

FP7/DXB makes new appointment 

Full-service advertising agency, FP7/DXB has appointed Olly Robinson to the role of Executive Creative Director. With a wealth of experience in advertising, Olly previously worked in the UK and most recently with FP7/DXB as Senior Creative Director. In his new role, he will continue to build the agency’s creative reputation with clients and oversee the development of new initiatives within the creative department.

Omnia makes new appointments 

UAE-based digital agency, Omnia has made structural changes to its team as a part of their expansion plans. Aurélie Fornara-Baurain has been appointed to the role of Senior Digital Project Manager. With over ten years of experience in media, Aurélie has worked across a variety of sectors including automotive and technology accounts and will now be responsible for managing a number of high-profile digital transformation projects.

Ed Dickson has been promoted to the role of Creative Director. Ed most recently worked with Omnia as Associate Creative Director where he worked across a variety of clients and delivered award-winning work. In his new role, he will be responsible for ensuring Omnia’s creative output is of the highest standards and recruiting new international creative talent.

Omnia will also see the promotion of Ashling O’Leary to the role of Client Services Director, having most recently held the role of Group Account Director where she led client services and built relationships with the agency’s portfolio of clients. In her new role, she will ensure the quality management of each account and will be responsible for the agency’s client services team.

Publinet makes new appointment 

Dubai-based communication consultancy, Publinet has promoted Jamal Iqbal to the role of Executive Creative Director. With 19 years of experience in the communication industry, Jamal previously worked with Spark Middle East as Associate Creative Director and most recently with Publinet as Director of Innovation. In his new role, he will establish creative new-age tactics and concepts across Publinet’s companies.

Edelman DABO makes new appointment

Edelman DABO has appointed Kathleen Burbridge to the role of Senior Account Manager. With a wealth of experience in PR, Kathleen previously worked with Edelman DABO as Account Manager and most recently at Seven Media as Account Director. In her new role, she will focus on handling BMW Middle East and the importers for both BMW and MINI across the region.

With a wealth of experience in communications, Jessica previously worked at TBWA in the UK as Account Manager where she handled brands such as Nissan and Pictet while managing digital, social, radio and print campaigns. In her new role, she will help bring dynamic creative optimisation to the Middle East market and respond to clients’ needs.

Motivate Publishing has appointed Tom Bushell to the role of Online Features Editor – Video. With a wealth of experience in presenting and reporting, Tom previously worked with Dubai 92 and most recently, as a freelancer for CNN and BT Sport in the UK. In his new role, Tom will be fronting digital content and story telling.
