New launch of Hanover office in the Middle East

Independent consulting firm, Hanover has launched its operations in the Middle East. Founded in 1998 with offices in London, Brussels and most recently in Dublin, Hanover’s new office in Dubai will offer strategic communications services and integrated programs to clients across the Middle East requiring access to other regional markets. The new office will also see Jonty Summers with over 20 years of experience and previously Regional Director at Edelman appointed to the role of Managing Director, where he will oversee and develop strategies to expand Hanover’s operations across the region. Also joining the Dubai team is Keri Sutherland, Associate Director of Hanson London with experience in reputation and crises management, to work towards establishing the agency’s presence across the Middle East.

YogaLife launches revamped website

Health and wellness publication, YogaLife has re-launched its website with new features that offer visitors a more user-friendly interface and navigation. The revamped website hosts a modern, clean and practical design as well as new features every week that will not be replicated in the print issue, allowing for more content and engagement with the site’s readers and viewers. The re-launch will also focus on having competitions and giveaways across YogaLife’s social media platforms to drive traffic to the website.

Dentsu Aegis and M21 form new partnership

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed full service agency, Media 21 (M21) as its exclusive partner and representative in Oman. The partnership will see M21 offer communication services such as media planning and buying, creative, events, media production, digital and social media to Dentsu Aegis’s clients in Oman. The new appointment will also serve as a part of Dentsu Aegis’s expansion plan to offer its communication solutions to its clients across the region.

Times of Oman wins at the Middle East Digital Media Awards

Times of Oman has been awarded the Best Data Visualisation Award at the Middle East Digital Media Awards 2017 in Dubai. The awards were presented by the World Association of Newspapers (Wan-Ifra) and recognised Times of Oman with a gold for its microsite that explored Oman’s century old relation with Frankincense. The event also celebrated Times of Oman’s win for Best Website, Best Use of Video, Best News Mobile Service and Best Use of Social Media.

Saffron Media closes

Dubai-based media company, Saffron Media Works has ceased operations following the closure of all its magazine titles. With the last issue of its titles published in January 2017, Saffron Media Works have finalised the closure and distribution of Saffron, Femina, Filmfare and Salt ‘n’ Peppa magazines across the UAE.

Grey Group promotes Nadim Khoury

Global communications agency, Grey Group MENA has promoted Nadim Khoury to the role of Chief Executive Officer. With over 24 years of experience, Nadim previously worked with Saatchi & Saatchi as Account Director before joining Grey Group as Account Director and most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer. Nadim will take on his new role in Dubai, where he will report to Nirvik Singh, Chairman and CEO, Grey Group Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and oversee the Grey Group’s operations across the MENA region.

Global media intelligence firm, Meltwater has launched new business tool, Executive Alerts.
