Dubai-based communication and lifestyle agency, COPIA Group has launched its first office in Canada as a part of its global expansion plan. The new office is based in Toronto and will focus on crafting creative content and experiences, whilst granting accessibility across Canada. The new launch will also see the appointment of Sherry Boisvert to the role of Managing Partner bringing with her over 20 years of PR and corporate communications experience. Sherry previously worked in Canada with Citizen Relations and most recently with NARRATIVE PR, holding the role of Vice President at both agencies. In her new role, she will work closely with COPIA’s Dubai partners, Rania El Sadek and Katherine Raso to oversee all the agency’s operations and expand its presence across Canada.

Communications and luxury lifestyle management company COPIA has won the account to manage all PR for international footwear brand Havaianas in the region. The company aims to strategically boost the brands image within the GCC. The footwear brand produces over 150 million pairs of its famous flip-flops every year, globally.

Established in 2008, The Kooples is an accessible luxury-clothing brand fusing both men’s and womenswear into one collection. With over 380 retail outlets globally, The Kooples focuses on perfect cuts, precious fabrics and edgy style.

COPIA has signed a new PR retainer with Opera Gallery Dubai. Founded by Gilles Dyan in Paris in 1994, the brand is a leading dealer in modern and contemporary American, European and Asian art, internationally established with galleries in Paris, London, Geneva, Monaco, New York, Miami, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul and Dubai.

COPIA has been appointed to represent Thea Jewelry within the Middle East. Launched by Emilie Duchene with headquarters in Belgium, the custom-made online jewellery collection is available for women, men and children in the form of rings, bracelets, phalanx rings, necklaces and cufflinks.

COPIA has won the account to handle public relations for Pierre Hermé Paris – UAE in the region. First launched in Tokyo in 1998, the boutique patisserie is now available across France, England, Hong Kong, South Korea, Qatar and the UAE, with boutiques in Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

COPIA has signed the PR and digital communications contract for En Vogue in the UAE.
