Motivate Publishing welcomes Tamara Djorem

Motivate Publishing has appointed Tamara Djorem to the role of Senior Sales Manager for good magazine. Tamara brings with her five years of sales experience haven most recently worked with ITP Media Group as Sales Manager for it’s consumer magazines OK! Middle East and Ahlan!. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving sales for good magazine and executing bespoke events for its clients across the region.

New Digital Editor at Cosmopolitanme.com

Cosmopolitanme.com, part of ITP Media Group has appointed Farah Andrews to the role of Digital Editor. Farah previously worked with ITP Media Group’s magazine, OK! Middle East as Features Editor and will now take on her new role at Cosmopolitanme.com, to work across digital content for the magazine. She will also contribute editorial strategies to further develop the Cosmopolitan brand across the region.

The Original Content Co. launches in the UAE

Content marketing company, The Original Content Co. launches in the UAE. The new company aims to create bespoke, engaging and influential content for businesses, the media and individuals. Founded by Gemma White, who previously worked with ITP Media Group’s publications, OK! Middle East as Editor-in-Chief and Cosmopolitan ME as Group Editor, Original Content Co. will focus on all areas of content marketing including, website and blog writing, captioning, troubleshooting and social media management. In addition, the company will cover video creation, script editing, flyer content, subbing and consulting today’s media as well as providing syndicated and commissioned content for the media in the UAE and across the Middle East.

Changes at ITP Media Group

Stylist Arabia and OK! Middle East are set to close down. Falling under the umbrella of ITP Media Group, women’s lifestyle magazine Stylist Arabia will discontinue production with its July/August 2017 edition being its final issue. In addition, celebrity lifestyle magazine, OK! Middle East will also follow suit with its last volume to be published at the end of this month. The two lifestyle magazines will also discontinue all digital operations on their mobile applications following the closures.

Jessica Milford joins Aziza Communications

Luxury lifestyle PR agency Aziza Communications has appointed Jessica Milford to the role of PR Executive. Previously a contributor for OK! Middle East, where she has assisted the team for three years, Jessica was responsible for writing features, interviewing high profile individuals as well as tracking emerging fashion and consumer trends. Jessica will now be working across a wide portfolio of beauty brands including Tips & Toes, Toni&Guy, label.m, Lee Stafford, Trevor Sorbie, He-Shi, Tantastic and Shampooheads. She will assist on digital and traditional media accounts.

The Entertainer welcomes new Junior Editor

Charlotte Bright has joined The Entertainer as Junior Editor for the GCC Region. With over three years of experience in media, Charlotte most recently worked as Editorial Assistant at OK! Middle East where she wrote features and reviews as well as conducted interviews and edited copy. In her new role, she will be responsible for editing and proof-reading all new monthly offers as well as compiling next year’s books with the rest of the content team. Charlotte will also be working on the app and web content that goes alongside the market-specific incentive offer books.

Samer Alloush joins Motivate Publishing

Samer Alloush has been appointed Senior Sales Manager at The Week. Samer most recently worked as Senior Sales Manager for OK! Middle East, and previously was the Senior Sales Manager at ITP Publishing for three and a half years across titles Refining & Petrochemicals ME, Oil & Gas ME, Utilities ME as well as Oil & Gas Al Arabiya.

In his new role with Motivate Publishing, he will sell advertising space, work to reach sponsorship targets and establish long-term relationships with clients.

“I am looking forward to starting fresh with Motivate,” says Samer. “I always believe that you should not be afraid of new challenges and making a change. I think joining The Week is a great opportunity for me.”

OK! Middle East promotes Lucy Wildman

OK! Middle East has promoted Lucy Wildman to the position of Acting Editor in the absense of Gemma White, who has commenced maternity leave. Lucy has over 12 years of experience in journalism in the UK as well as the UAE, and has been Deputy Editor of OK! Middle East since December 2013. In her new role as Acting Editor, she will oversee the day-to-day running of the magazine, as well as manage supplements and brand extensions.

Samer Alloush has been appointed as Senior Sales Manager at OK! Middle East. Samer has previously worked as Senior Sales Manager at ITP Publishing Group for the last three and a half years, working across titles including Refining & Petrochemicals ME, Oil & Gas ME, Utilities ME as well as Oil & Gas Al Arabiya.

In his new role at OK! Middle East he will sell advertising space, set events plans, work to reach sponsorship targets and build long-term relationships with clients.
