Injeel Moti joins Saffron Media Works

Injeel Moti has been appointed as Senior PR Executive at Dubai-based Saffron Media Works. With two years of public relations experience in the UAE market, Injeel has worked across a range of brands from various sectors including fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, as well as health & fitness. Most recently, Injeel held the position of Senior PR Executive at BUZ Consulting.

“I am excited to be joining Saffron Media Works’ PR department,” says Injeel. “Coming from an agency background and stepping into a dynamic in-house environment will indeed be a great learning experience. Hadeel Al Sayegh to step down at The National

Hadeel Al Sayegh is to step down from her role as Senior Correspondent, Political Economy at The National. Having been with the Abu Dhabi-based daily since 2010, Hadeel has written extensively across the region’s political economy, covering investigative and enterprise topics for the newspaper; she has also appeared on several international TV networks offering a Middle Eastern perspective on the European debt crisis, as well as regular appearances on the BBC to discuss developments in Iraq and Syria. Hadeel has also had her own segment reading business headlines on ‘Inside The National’, a TV show on Abu Dhabi El Emarat, in addition to reading headlines on Abu Dhabi’s Classic FM.

She will now move on to take up the position of Gulf Senior Company News Correspondent on Reuters’ Gulf Finance team, where she will be breaking headline grabbing news on the region’s publicly-listed companies and mergers & acquisitions activity around business assets of regional, local and federal governments.

“After five years covering the Dubai financial crisis, its aftermath and its subsequent boom at Abu Dhabi’s newspaper of record The National, I am excited to start my new journey at Reuters,” says Hadeel. “I look forward to taking my experience and expertise to the next level by expanding my scope of coverage to the Arabian Gulf region.”

Sarah Dudley joins DPQ Communications

Sarah Dudley has been appointed as Account Executive at DPQ Communications. With two years of experience in PR & Marketing across the UAE market, Sarah comes from a luxury and beauty background with in-house experience.

Sarah previously worked across various luxury beauty brands, including the launch of Oribe Hair Care, Foreo Cleansing Devise and Concoction Hair Care into the Middle East market.

Alexandra Bull steps down at Motivate Publishing

Alexandra Bull is moving on from her position as Picture Editor for Emirates Woman Group. A part of the team since 2013, Alexandra has managed the picture desk across various titles including Emirates Woman, Emirates Bride and Emirates Woman Mini, as well as producing content for emirateswoman.com. She now returns to Cape Town in South Africa, where she will work in custom publishing in an expanded role as Picture Editor and Designer working across print and digital.

Leah Simpson joins Time Out Dubai

Leah Simpson has been appointed as the new Digital Editor at Time Out Dubai. With experience across a number of editorial positions in the digital sector, Leah’s previous roles include Online News Editor for Hello! Magazine in the UK, and Showbiz Reporter at Daily Mail in the US. As Digital Editor at ITP Publishing Group, Leah will oversee content for the digital section of the Time Out Dubai brand.

Hello! Middle East welcomes new Managing Editor

Hello! Middle East, newly acquired by Arab Publishing Partners (APP), has appointed Selina Julien as Managing Editor. Previously Editor at Hello! Middle East, whilst under the umbrella of Motivate Publishing, Selina will now oversee the daily running of the coveted English language weekly.

A significant brand re-launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015 under APP, which will include the release of two new premium monthly titles – Hello! Arabia and Hello! Bollywood, extending the global reach of the Hello! brand to 33 editions worldwide.

Eddie Taylor is an editor, journalist and content specialist with close to two decades of experience in developing, launching and editing consumer titles. Having enjoyed senior publishing roles in London, New York, Amman and Dubai, Eddie was most recently Editor-in-Chief of Esquire Weekend.

Lamiaa Elkholy joins Emaar

Lamiaa Elkholy has been appointed as Senior Content Executive – Digital Marketing at Emaar. As a bilingual editor, copywriter and photo editor, Lamiaa previously held the position of English Editor at du for four years, before moving on to her most recent position as Photo Editor/Content Editor Bing Apps Arabia at Microsoft. Both roles entailed launching projects – anayou.com for du and msn Arabia for Microsoft – where Lamiaa’s Arabic and English editorials defined the tone and content selection for online publishing and were key to the success of the startups. In her new position at Emaar, Lamiaa will be creating the bilingual content for Emaar Dubai’s newly launched social media communications platforms.

Ellie Keene joins Pragma

Ellie Keene has joined the Pragma team as PR & Communications Manager. With over three and a half years in PR, Ellie has worked across a number of high profile campaigns in London and Dubai, including the Victoria’s Secret campaign with Adriana Lima, the launch of Café Belge at The Ritz Carlton, as well as Jergens and Anantara Hotels whilst in the position of Account Executive at DABO & CO. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Account Manager for solar lights specialists Solarway, building brand awareness throughout the region. In her new position, Ellie will oversee the public relations for Cavalli Club, Cavalli Caffé , Cirque Le Soir and The Health Factory.

Shefki Nawaz joins Capital D Studio

Shefki Nawaz has been appointed as Associate Director of D the Agency at Capital D Studio. Joining the team from New York, Shefki brings over a decade of experience working with renowned photographers and brands. She has contributed to countless internationally-acclaimed advertising campaigns, including Dior, Shiseido, Rag & Bone, Chloe, Cover Girl, Land Rover, Club Monaco, NIKE, Pantene and Cool Water. Shefki has also worked extensively with VogueNuméro, W and Interview Magazine. Shefki now joins the sister company of Capital D Studio, where she will manage the existing roster of creative talent, as well as signing new talent from the region and beyond.
