Emily Churchill-Owen joins John Brown Media

John Brown Media, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Emily Churchill-Owen to the role of Deputy Editor. Emily most recently worked with The Media Network as Editorial Assistant and in her new role will be assisting Editor Lily Lawes in compiling the monthly Emirates Inflight entertainment (ICE) guides as well as working on creative ways to incorporate content that will engage and be of interest to the Emirates audience of passengers.

“I’ve had a fantastic time working for The Media Network,” says Emily. “I’m hugely excited to be joining John Brown Media and I can’t wait for the new challenges this role will bring.”

John Brown Media welcomes Michelle Woolley

John Brown Media has welcomed Michelle Woolley to the role of Account Manager.  Having previously worked for clients such as Bentley Motors and Jaguar Land Rover Group in the UK, Michelle’s most recent role was that of Marketing Manager, Warwick Accommodation for the University of Warwick. In her new role, she will be working for John Brown Media across the agency’s Spinneys and Home Centre accounts.

Dentsu Aegis acquires John Brown Media

Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired John Brown Media. The agency’s experience in creating and publishing content is hoped to enhance the network’s existing content capabilities, to create a differentiated and innovative integrated content offering for clients worldwide.

Established in 1987, John Brown Media is headquartered in London and has offices in South Africa, Hong Kong, Boston and Dubai. The company provides clients with services including print and digital publishing, content management, website strategy and film production. Following the acquisition, it will retain its brand identity and operate as an external entity from Dentsu Aegis Network MENA. John Brown Media will now also work with iProspect, the network’s digital performance agency, as well as Carat’s content partnerships team in order to integrate publishing capabilities into Dentsu Aegis’ offering in the region.

John Brown Media appoints New Business Manager

Hannah Brisby has been promoted to New Business Manager for global content marketing agency John Brown Media. Having been with the company since it started in the UAE in 2013, Hannah was previously Advertising Sales Manager on the SpinneysFOOD magazine account where she worked mainly on display advertising and creative solutions.

In her new role, Hannah will be seeking new partnerships for the agency, predominantly in the retail, healthcare and hospitality sectors. Prior to working for John Brown Media, Hannah was Corporate Sales Manager for Explorer Publishing.

“I’m thrilled to take on the challenge of growing John Brown’s business in the region,” says Hannah. “It’s a really exciting time for the agency, having recently expanded our team and moved to new premises, I look forward to taking on new challenges in my role as New Business Manager.”
