ITP Media Group launches B2B beauty brand 

ITP Media Group has launched new B2B magazine, Middle East Beauty. Middle East Beauty will include a monthly magazine, a website and social media platforms. The new brand will target owners and operators of salons, spas and aesthetic medical service providers while connecting industry figures, artists, stylists, spa managers and product manufacturers. The magazine and website will feature exclusive interviews with beauty players across the region as well as product releases, events, innovations and industry trends. The new launch will also see the appointment of Claudia de Brito to the role of Editor. Claudia most recently worked with Caterer Middle East where she held the role of Editor. In her new role, she will oversee all content for the print and digital platforms.

Arabian Business introduces press release function

Sarah Townsend has joined the Arabian Business team as Chief Reporter. With over eight years of journalist experience, Sarah has contributed news and features to both national and specialist publications including the Financial Times, The Sun, The Daily Telegraph, Irish Times, Drapers and outdoor lifestyle website Sarah joins ITP Publishing from London where she was most recently Publications Editor at the Architects’ Journal, producing customer-led monographs, supplements and special reports in print and digital. In her new role, Sarah will be covering business news and current affairs across the GCC for the weekly business publication.

MEP Middle East Awards deadline announced

The nomination deadline for this year’s Construction Week MEP Middle East Awards has been announced as October 1, 2014. Construction Week‘s 8th annual MEP Middle East Awards recognises the leading engineering accomplishments from the Middle East’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing sectors in the region.

Media figures dominate Arabian Business Brit List

Media leaders have dominated the second edition of the Arabian Business Brits List – a study that lists the top 50 most influential British expatriates in the UAE.

While MBC Group’s CEO Sam Barnett has landed the top media spot, ranked 4th most influential Brit, Starcom MediaVest Group’s CEO John Antoniades isn’t far behind in 5th place. John Brash, owner of Brash Brands has also made the cut, ranked 17, Motivate Publishing’s Managing Partner Ian Fairservice comes in at number 27, while BBC Middle East Correspondent Mark Lobel snagged the 30th spot. Other notable media influencers who have made the top 50 include television and radio personality Tom Urquhart, DABO & CO Managing Partners Camilla and Lucy D’Abo, Face to Face agency owner Chris Bell and Francis Matthew, Editor at Large, Gulf News.

Sarah Jacotine joins Logistics Middle East

Sarah Jacotine has joined ITP as Editor of Logistics Middle East. Sarah previously worked in public relations as Account Manager at Aziza Communications, and prior to this as Communications Officer with Norwich City Council in the UK.

As Editor of the B2B magazine, Sarah will report on all aspects of the logistics industry in the region, including IT, warehousing, distribution and transportation.
