MENA Effie Awards winners announced

Winners of the MENA Effie Awards has been announced following the conclusion of its tenth edition of the awards that took place on November 7, 2018. Held at Armani Downtown, the awards focused on bringing together agencies and clients from the regional industry to celebrate the best marketing campaigns. The awards saw special wins for FP7/DXB and FP7 MENA for Most Effective Advertising Agency Office and Network of the Year while other winners include Nissan for a Grand Prix Award for their #SheDrives campaign by TBWA/RAAD.

FP7/MENA wins big at Global Effie Awards 

Full-service advertising agency, FP7/MENA has received the Global Effie Award for the Most Awarded Agency Network in a Single Regional Competition. The awards took place on May 31, 2018 in New York City. The agency secured the award for FP7/DXB’s ranking as #2 Most Effective Agency Office Globally and FP7/CAI – FP7’s Cairo office– ranked #8 Most Effective Agency Globally.

Amr El Kalaawy gets promoted at FP7/CAI

Full-service advertising agency, FP7/MENA has promoted Amr El Kalaawy to the role of Managing Director of its Cairo office, FP7/CAI. With over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry in Egypt, Amr joined FP7/CAI in 2007 and most recently held the role of General Manager, where he aided in growing the digital offering and developing a creative vision for the agency. In his new role, he will report to FP7/CAI’s CEO, Sahar El Zoghby and work towards enabling valuable collaborations with sister agencies leading to a richer, integrated product offering for current and future clients.

“I look forward to expanding FP7/CAI’s business and leveraging our relationship with our sister agencies within MCN Holding as we look to help clients exploit the changes we are seeing in today’s dynamic & digital market,” says Amr.

FP7 does the double at 2013 Effie MENA Awards

FP7 won a historic double at the Effies 2013, sweeping Network of the Year and the FP7 Dubai office winning Agency of the Year.

Tarek Miknas, CEO of FP7 MENA was ecstatic at the huge metal tally and the crowning achievements. In an emotional mail to all FP7 staff he wrote, “I thank everyone in this network for contributing to our transformation. I travel from market to market, and I see how hard we are all working to turn our agency into the one we’ve always wanted. You are all stars and I am seriously proud to be among you everyday. Please do take your new title of The Most Effective Agency very seriously as we intend to hold onto this position beyond 2014!”

Sasan Saeidi, who spearheads the FP7 UAE operation added: “Effies is the future of our industry and all our clients are demanding more accountability and responsibility for our communication ideas, every day. Effies, is creativity with purpose. FP7 MENA open new office in Iraq

FP7 MENA today announced the launch of its new office in Erbil, Iraq. The new unit – to be known as FP7/EBL – will be led by Managing Director, Wassim Daniel, and will serve the needs of FP7’s regional partners in Iraq. Although based in Erbil, the new FP7 office will serve as a hub for the entire country, supporting its brand partners such as Ford, Coke, Sony Mobiles and Nestlé.
