New Regional Content Director at Action

Action Global Communications has appointed Barry King to the role of Regional Content Director for the GCC. With over 15 years of editorial experience, Barry was most recently Editor at 7DAYS UAE. In his new role, he will be responsible for creating and curating content for the agency’s clients across the region.

“Having worked as a journalist for the past 16 years, I’m very much looking forward to developing new skills and developing content for Action Global and our clients,” says Barry. “I’ve known some of the team for more than 10 years and having been on the ‘other side’ for so long, I’ve always been impressed with how the agency has operated. It’s exciting times for Action Global and I’m looking forward to helping the agency grow and develop.”

New Communications Director at TKD Lingerie

GCC retail brand, TKD Lingerie has appointed Andrea Gissdal to the role of Communications Director. Previously Associate Director at Four Communications, Andrea will now manage all marketing and communications activity for the brand across the region.

Grey Middle East welcomes new CCO

Global communications agency, Grey Group has promoted Ali Shabaz to the role of Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for its Middle East offices. Previously CCO for Grey Group in Southeast Asia, Ali has over 20 years of experience as a Creative Director. In his new role, he will be based in Dubai and will report to Nirvik Singh, Chairman and CEO of Grey Group – Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

“Ali is highly experienced and has tackled creative work across numerous industries and geographies,” says Nirvik Singh, Chairman and CEO, Grey Group – Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. “Under his leadership in the Middle East, we are looking to further bolster our creative output and Ali will play an instrumental role in this process. TOH welcomes new F&B and Hospitality Director

Dubai-based PR agency, TOH PR has appointed Diana Ionescu to the role of F&B and Hospitality Director. Previously Marketing and Communications Manager for The Address Downtown Dubai and most recently for Burj Khalifa, Diana has over 10 years of experience in the hospitality sector. In her new role, she will oversee all PR operations across the agency’s portfolio of hospitality and F&B clients as well as manage a team of communications professionals.
