The ULTRAs launched

Ultratravel magazine, a UAE-based publication focusing on regional and international luxury travel destinations, has launched the Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards (The ULTRAs). With 20 categories including: airlines, airports, hotels, travel agencies and services, as well as specialised categories across UAE hospitality and tourism sectors, Ultratravel will determine one winner and four runners-up per category, culminating in the Ultratravel 100 list.

Winners will be announced at the Ultratravel 100 Awards, hosted in the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah on November 25, 2015. They will also be published in the Winter 2015 issue of Ultratravel, available from November 26 and distributed by The National and Aletihad newspapers. Voting for the awards is currently open to the public until October 31, and readers can vote online at www.thenational.ae/ultras.

 

Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi welcomes Paula Tannous

Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi has appointed Paula Tannous to the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. With 20 years of experience in hospitality, Paula most recently worked as Complex Director of Sales and Marketing at Novotel and Ibis World Trade Centre Dubai, where she was jointly responsible for all major decisions regarding the hotels’ operations, strategies and directions. In her new role, she will be responsible for strategy development and internal operations for Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, playing a key role in all events and promotional activity happening in and around the hotel, including the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

twofour54 has renewed its partnership with the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) for a sixth consecutive year, in an effort to support creative and cultural industries in the UAE, as well as nurture skills development for the media sector. Both parties have signed a Letter of Cooperation signifying a mutual interest to collaborate on programmes in various disciplines of media and creativity.

The two organisations will team up to develop joint activities that foster growth, development and awareness of media as well as the creative and cultural industries in the UAE, with a focus on young adult Emiratis and the wider Emirati community. The partnership will also establish a new mechanism for effective sharing of information amongst the filmmaking community, aiming to support emerging and established Emirati film-makers.

Noura Al Kaabi joins LinkedIn’s Global Influencers

Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of twofour54, is the first woman from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to be selected for LinkedIn’s Global Influencer Programme, a platform for leaders in their respective geographies and industries to share their insights and discuss topics of interest on the social network aimed at professionals.

twofour54 and Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at aiding the promotion of motorsports in Abu Dhabi to a worldwide audience. This MoU lays the ground for twofour54 to potentially provide ADMM with a range of services including production, post-production and training services, as well as travel, visa facilitation and government services. twofour54 will also be in a postion to provide strategic media consultancy and facilitation services to ADMM upon project requests.

Ghaleb Zeidan heads Weber Shandwick Abu Dhabi

Ghaleb Zeidan, former Deputy Managing Director of Weber Shandwick in Abu Dhabi, has been promoted to Managing Director of the Twofour54-based agency. Having been with the company since 2010, the former journalist from Lebanon has successfully led a number of the agency’s largest accounts as well as having grown its government communications practice into the leading practice in the agency today.

Abu Dhabi Media Summit to be held in 2016

The sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit (ADMS) will be held from April 5, 2016 – April 7, 2016 by The Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi.
