Emma Farmer joins Custard Communications

Events agency Custard Communications has appointed Emma Farmer to the role of General Manager. With over ten years of experience in events management, Emma previously worked with Centaur Media, UK as the Events Manager and most recently with Dubai Lynx as the Festival Director. In her new role, she will be joining the agency’s management team to oversee the strategic planning and representation of to meet their clients’ needs across the UAE.

Mr and Mrs Brunch launches new app

UAE-based blog, Mr &Mrs Brunch has launched Let’s Brunch, an easy to use brunch information portal. Let’s Brunch is a free application that features a comprehensive list of over 30 brunches across Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as a review section that aims to help users plan their brunch with greater ease. The app is available for download with an in-app purchase option to unlock special benefits such as; discounts, free post brunch beverages and complimentary pool access.

Lucy Self joins Q Communications

Lifestyle and PR agency Q Communications has welcomed Lucy Self to the role of Senior Executive. With over ten years of experience in PR, journalism, marketing and copywriting, Lucy most recently worked with Anteater PR where she was responsible for a number of accounts including; giraffe and Dominic Ansel. In her new role, she will be working with Q Communications Abu Dhabi on all media operations, from engaging press campaigns to generating sharp social media content.

“I chose to join Q Communications because I’d heard they were one of the best in the business, with a reputation that reached as far as London when I was looking to relocate,” says Lucy. “Judging from my first couple of days, I’m joining a hard working and inspiring team. Publicis consolidates regional LeoComm offices

Publicis Communications has consolidated its six-office LeoComm PR network in the Middle East under the brand of MSLGroup, its strategic communications and engagement firm. Leocomm offices in the UAE, Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will now become MSLGROUP in the Middle East, while remaining part of the Publicis Communications MEA portfolio of agencies, which also includes; Leo Burnett, Publicis Worldwide, Flip Media, Arc and Saatchi & Saatchi. MSLGROUP’s Communications and Network Consulting (CNC) Network also has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, servicing mostly corporate and public affairs clients, which will remain a separate unit inside of MSLGROUP.

WhiteFox and Yardstick to partner for new media portfolio

WhiteFox Media Group is set to partner with Yardstick Marketing to launch a full media portfolio for the LuLu Group’s Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi. The portfolio, set to launch in November 2016, will consist of an online platform, digital magazine and a print magazine titled @AWM, which will be available in both English and Arabic. With a total estimated audience of over 100,000 for the portfolio via an initial print circulation of 10,000 copies, direct customer databases and online readers, @AWM will be distributed quarterly around the Al Wahda Mall, as well as in surrounding hotels and residential apartments.

Media community unite to help friend in need

The UAE’s media community is uniting to help Jeff Price, who has been diagnosed with a rare brain condition that his medical insurance won’t cover.
