Emily Churchill-Owen joins John Brown Media

John Brown Media, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Emily Churchill-Owen to the role of Deputy Editor. Emily most recently worked with The Media Network as Editorial Assistant and in her new role will be assisting Editor Lily Lawes in compiling the monthly Emirates Inflight entertainment (ICE) guides as well as working on creative ways to incorporate content that will engage and be of interest to the Emirates audience of passengers.

#GNTECH welcomes new Deputy Editor

Online and print technology title #GNTECH, part of GN Media, has appointed Daanesh Kalyaniwalla to the role of Deputy Editor. Previously a freelance writer for the technology blog and monthly supplement, Daanesh will now be responsible for editorial content creation and production as well as their social media accounts.

Stylist Arabia welcomes new Editor

Stylist Arabia, part of Arab Publishing Partners (APP), has appointed Alexandria Gouveia to the role of Editor. With over ten years of experience in print and digital media, in her new role she will oversee all editorial content, interviews and features for the monthly publication.

Volkswagen Middle East makes new appointment

Volkswagen Middle East has appointed Bruno Gisquet to the role of Marketing Director. With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Bruno previously worked with Infiniti Motor Company as the Director of Global Experiential Marketing and most recently as the Director Brand Academy. In his new role, he will lead and manage the development and marketing communications, as well as oversee the product marketing and volume planning for Volkswagen Middle East across the region.

Shelly Mistry joins The Media Network

The Media Network has appointed Shelly Mistry to the role of Editorial Assistant. Having previously assisted on a number of lifestyle publications including Citizen K Arabia and Citizen K Homme Arabia, part of Gulf News Publishing and a number of APP Media Group titles including The Rake Middle East, Revolution Middle East, Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, Stylist Arabia and the Hello! group, she will now assist with all editorial including news and features for the B2B media platform. Shelly will also manage client relations with The Media Network’s Premium Members as well as help manage the website and social media content.

Mohammed Rayes joins Arab News

Saudi Arabian daily newspaper Arab News has appointed Mohammed Rayes to the role of Resident Cartoonist. Rayes previously worked with Asharq Al-Awsat, London and more recently Okaz, Saudi Arabia. In his new role, he will be responsible for the all cartoon publication for Arab News on all its print and online media platforms.

Daniel Higgins joins ITP

ITP Publishing Group has welcomed Daniel Higgins to the role of Fashion Editor of Esquire Middle East. With experience in writing and styling, Daniel previously worked with The Telegraph, D’Marge and Recognise magazine in the UK and most recently Head of the Luxury and Style division for clients including; Caprice Holdings and Harry’s of London. In his new role, he will be overseeing all style content for the print, digital and event Esquire Middle East platforms as well as the Big Black Book.

Emma Farmer joins Custard Communications

Events agency Custard Communications has appointed Emma Farmer to the role of General Manager. With over ten years of experience in events management, Emma previously worked with Centaur Media, UK as the Events Manager and most recently with Dubai Lynx as the Festival Director. In her new role, she will be joining the agency’s management team to oversee the strategic planning and representation of to meet their clients’ needs across the UAE.
