Sept PR welcomes new Account Manager

Dubai-based lifestyle and communications agency, Sept PR has appointed Karima Karmouzi to the role of Account Manager. With over ten years of experience in marketing and PR, Karima previously worked as Marketing and PR Manager in the UK, Morocco and Oman. In her new role, she will focus on developing strong PR and communications strategies across GCC networks and secure top tier Arab media opportunities for client campaigns.

Times of Oman secures awards at ENA

Following two gold and three silver accolades at the 2016 Wanlfra Middle East Digital Awards, Times of Oman has secured two Awards for Excellence at the European Newspaper Awards (ENA). The title was recognised in the category of ‘Online Infographics’ for its use of interactive digital graphics in the ‘Omani Dress’ and ‘Rio 2016’ features that were published on its online platform. The English daily also received four accolades in the ‘Sectional Front Pages’ category for its print newspaper. The award ceremony will take place during the European Newspaper Congress from May 21 -23, 2017, at the City Hall of Vienna.

Times of Oman wins at World Digital Awards

Times of Oman has been awarded Best Data Visualisation for its creative site at this year’s World Digital Awards in Vienna, Austria. The awards were presented by the World Association of Newspapers (Wan-Ifra) to recognise Times of Oman’s site for its features, which includes; drawings, graphics and videos that details the heritage behind the Omani dress for a digital celebration in honour of the country’s 45th National Day.

“I’m thrilled for the team behind this special project and even more so that a project that honours Oman’s heritage has won recognition at a global level, particularly as we approach National Day this year,” says Scott Armstrong, Chief Executive Editor, Times of Oman. “This came on the back of five awards, two gold, including one for the Omani dress project and three silver in the 2016 Middle East Digital Awards of the World Association of Newspapers.”

Crème de la Creme Awards winners announced

The first ever Crème de la Crème magazine Luxury Awards have been held at Turtle Beach, Shangri-La Al Jissah Resort and Spa in Oman. Presented by Mercedes-Benz, the awards honoured luxury brands across nine different categories including Best Fashion Label Powered By Mercedes-Benz, Best Jewellery and Best Hotel. Nominees were evaluated by well-known names in the Sultanate and winners included Amouage and Patek Philippe.

JCDecaux unveils digital screen network in Oman

JCDecaux, the worldwide outdoor advertising company, has unveiled a new network of HD digital screens at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport, in conjunction with Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC). The premium quality screens are located in the baggage reclaim areas of both airports, offering a unique proposition for advertisers. The new network of screens will feature JCDecaux’s specialised content management system, which allows tailored advertising in the form of targeted or live campaigns. The system will be able to target specific flights from specific countries, change the creative from day to night and broadcast live content.
