Lucy Wildman joins OK! Middle East

Former Group Beauty Editor at Gulf News Magazines, Lucy Wildman, has today joined ITP Publishing as Deputy Editor at OK! Middle East. Lucy, who first joined ITP in December 2005 as Fashion & Beauty Editor at Ahlan! Magazine, will be responsible for all fashion and beauty on the title, along with all the latest celebrity gossip.

“A fantastic opportunity at ITP was what brought me to Dubai for the first time eight years ago, and I am thrilled to be returning to the company for yet another incredible career opportunity as Deputy Editor of OK! Middle East,” says Lucy. “The magazine already boasts an amazing team, and I am very proud to be joining them on the biggest celebrity title in the region.”

 

New Account Manager joins The Qode

Farah Zoghbi has been announced as the new PR Account Manager at The Qode. Bringing over four years of PR and Marketing experience within the luxury service industry in Dubai, Farah held various PR and Communications positions, working with leading brands including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels. As a resident of Dubai since 2003, Farah has witnessed the dynamic growth of the industry, gaining local market experience during this time.

New Editor joins The Dubai Mall Magazine

Caroline Scott has joined NPI Media as the new Editor of The Dubai Mall Magazine. Formerly Deputy Editor of OK! Middle East, Caroline will oversee the day-to-day running of the magazine.

“I am delighted to be joining the talented team at The Dubai Mall Magazine at this exciting time of growth for the mall and the city’s fashion scene, as a whole,” says Caroline. “Coming from a luxury publishing background, I find myself in a happy new home and look forward to a bright and busy 2014.”

New Middle East PR Manager for Volkswagen

Michelle Hogan has been announced as the new Middle East PR Manager for Volkswagen. Having lived in the region for over five years, Michelle is well acquainted with the Middle East market, and has extensive experience in both luxury and mass automotive segments.

“Volkswagen is a great company to work for and a respected global brand, I’m delighted to join the group,” says Michelle. “There are some really exciting things on the agenda for 2014 and I am looking forward to getting into my new role.”

A stylish farewell for Rebecca Kelsey

After two years at Grazia Middle East, Fashion & Beauty Editor Rebecca Kelsey today steps down from her position as she prepares to return to the UK on November 30th.

“I have decided after two wonderful years on Grazia Middle East, and three in the Middle East, that it is time to return home to London to be with my husband,” says Rebecca. “It is with a heavy heart I leave Dubai, and I want to stress how much I have thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone.”

 

New Digital Editor for New You magazine

New You magazine has appointed a new Digital Editor, Handan Darici, who will be responsible for the entire digital environment of New You magazine. Handan will oversee the running and design of the New You website, including administration and full content editing. She will also be responsible for managing the social media marketing to ensure cohesive brand integrity and the successful integration of all media platforms – including the online boutique that recently launched.

“As a Digital Editor and Social Media Strategist I design, manage and deliver e-commerce strategy for the optimum success of our online boutique. There is nothing like working in a field that has a genuine focus and is growing exponentially,” says Handan.

New Senior PR Exec for Venture Communications

Charles Santhakumar has today joined the team at Venture Communications in the role of Senior PR Executive. Hailing from India, Charles has over seven years of PR experience in agencies including Edelman, Hanmer MSL and Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, and his new role at Venture Communications will be his first step in to the Middle East PR industry.

New Editor joins Mother, Baby & Child magazine

Dina Maaty has today joined Mother, Baby & Child magazine as Editor, superseding Zaina Shihabi, who stepped down last month after relocating to Liverpool. With over five years of experience in the media industry, Dina has previously held both editorial and PR roles in leading lifestyle publications and government communication hubs in the US, Qatar and Egypt.

“I am delighted to join this publication which has been helping women in the UAE make a smooth transition into the world of parenting and motherhood,” says Dina. “I look forward to presenting readers with more quality content as expected from a magazine of this calibre.”

Ben Rossi bids farewell to CNME

Computer News Middle East (CNME) Editor Ben Rossi bids farewell to CPI Media Group and its flagship magazine title this week as he prepares to leave Dubai for his new editorial role in London. Ben joined CNME – the Middle East’s leading technology publication – as Sub Editor in January 2012 and was promoted to Editor in August 2012 at the age of 23. This Thursday will mark his last day at the title.

Ben commences his new role as Editor of Information Age print magazine and online publication on November 4, 2013. Information Age is the UK’s leading monthly IT publication.

“I owe a lot to CPI for giving me the opportunity to be the editor of its flagship magazine at such a young age,” says Ben. “It was a great honour being able to put my stamp on a brand and title as superb as CNME. CPI is a fantastic publisher to work for and it will be very sad leaving having made some great friends at the company. I’ve had a terrific time in the Middle East, but am now looking forward to my new challenge at Information Age in London.”

New Editor announced for Nawa3em.com
