H+K Strategies promotes Iman Issa

H+K Strategies had promoted Iman Issa to the role of Deputy General Manager, Dubai. Formerly Group Account Director, Lead on Corporate and Technology, where she was responsible for securing new business, team motivation, creative campaigns and overall division performance, Iman has over 10 years of experience in PR and communications. As Deputy General Manager of the Dubai office, she will be co-responsible for driving new business and talent development across the division, as well as leading accounts and teams in delivering creative programs across the corporate and technology practice.

“Having started my career at H+K Strategies 10 years ago, riding up the ranks to Deputy General Manager has been a very rewarding experience,” says Iman. “My personal philosophy throughout my career has always been to think and do things differently and to create increased impact for our clients businesses. 2016 is a year where we are witnessing growth in brands investing in creative communication campaigns that are led by the marketing division. OSN welcomes new PR Editor

 

Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) has welcomed Benita Adesuyan to the role of PR Editor. Previously the Sports and Outdoors, Community and Film Editor at Time Out Dubai, part of ITP Publishing, Benita has over eight years of experience in journalism. In her new role, she will be working with OSN’s in-house PR team and PR agency to promote the network, its channels, entertainment services content and talent. Benita will also work on OSN publicity events, media enquiries and new partnerships.

Edelman welcomes new Head of Digital

Ema Linaker, former Regional Director – Digital, Leo Burnett MENA, has joined Edelman as Head of Digital. With over 20 years of experience, Ema has worked across companies in the UK as well as the UAE, including Google, Intent HQ and Social@Ogilvy. In her new role, she will be responsible for heading up Edelman’s digital team assisting clients achieve authenticity online through content and creative strategy as well as experiential marketing and social business.

 

Ritz-Carlton welcomes new PR Director

Bianca Cartin has joined the Ritz-Calton Dubai as Director of Public Relations. Previously Marketing Manager for the GFD Group where she was part of the opening team for Jean-Georges Dubai in the Four Seasons resort, Jumeirah, Bianca has over 11 years of experience in PR. As Director of Public Relations, she will be responsible for all public relations activities for the beach-side resort.

Ruth’s Chris promotes Mariana Sarilho

Mariana Sarilho has been promoted to the role of Marketing Executive for the Fine Dining Division of the MonarQi Group, representing Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in the UAE. Previously Assistant Marketing Manager for the fine dining restaurant located in The Address Hotel Dubai Marina, Mariana has over seven years of experience in media and marketing. In her new role, she will be handling all media contacts for Ruth’s Chris as well as communicating all offers and information for the restaurant.

GN Broadcasting welcomes Director

GN Broadcasting has welcomed Steve Pulley to the role of Broadcasting Director. With 30 years of international radio experience across companies such as Virgin Radio International and Arabian Radio Network, Steve was most recently General Manager of Bamboo Media, where he provided services to international radio stations and local businesses looking to improve premium content services. Having recently returned to Dubai, Steve will now be working across UAE radio stations Radio 1, Radio 2, Josh and Hayat FM in his role as Broadcasting Director.

Will McMichael joins GN Broadcasting

Will McMichael has joined GN Broadcasting as Head of Advertising. Having previously worked as General Sales Manager at the Australian Radio Network in Sydney, Australia, Will was responsible for revenue generation cross all of the network, including 12 radio stations and its digital assets. In his new role as Head of Advertising, he will oversee both direct and agency sales teams for GN Broadcasting, as well as support departments including Creative, Traffic, Commercial Production and Sponsorship/Promotions/Integration. Will will also be handling revenue generation across direct and agency sales and developing and implementing strategies for internal structure, processes and communication.

“Relocating to another country was not an easy decision, however I have been made to feel extremely welcome and I already feel like a part of the family,” says Will. “There are some very talented people here and when you combine this with the strength of the brands throughout the company, we have a real opportunity to provide multi-platform solutions to our clients.”

Insignia welcomes new Account Executive

Insignia has welcomed Fatima Fernandez to the role of Account Executive. Previously an Account Executive at Avant Communications, Fatima has worked across various forms of media in Spain as well as in the UAE. In her new role, she will be managing accounts and maintaining communications between clients and the creative studio.

With two years of experience in client servicing, Carrera-Jade most recently worked as a Client Partner at e>erything d.fferent in the UK where she was involved with nationwide campaigns developing creative for TV, press and radio as well as liasing with clients. In her new role with Insignia, Carrera-Jade will be working in the agency’s Client Servicing department, managing accounts for international clients such as Rixos and Soneva.

CPI Media Group has welcomed Anirban Bagchi to the role of Editor of Construction Machinery Middle East (CMME). With 15 years of experience in journalism, Anirban has worked across several sectors for publications including the Qatar Tribune, Emirates 24/7 andGulf News. Most recently, he was Consulting Editor for Community Connexion, a community magazine distributed by the Khaleej Times.
