Laila Clarke joins The Studio

The Studio Dubai has appointed Laila Clarke as Head of Client Servicing and Sales. Laila has over eight years of experience in event management working with clients that include; Coca-Cola, KPMG and Philip Morris. She relocated from London to Dubai earlier this year and in her previous role worked with Meraas Holding on Royal events.

“I am really excited to be working at The Studio to develop and grow the Corporate & Events division,” says Laila. “I feel that there are so many photography opportunities in the market and I am looking forward to getting The Studio lined up for as many of them as many as possible.”

The Studio is part of Linktia, a Dubai-based group made up of brands including Bareface Productions, arabianEye Productions, Alchemy Films, Aperto Middle East, Magnet Photo Productions and Corbis.

Magnet welcomes Elsa Esmeraldo

Dubai-based content production company Magnet, part of Linktia, has welcomed Elsa Esmeraldo to the role of Talent Curator. Having just moved to the Middle East, Elsa has over ten years of experience in the advertising industry across creative agencies in South Africa. As Talent Curator, she will be responsible for sourcing artistic talent for Magnet’s portfolio of clients.

“I value original thought,” says Elsa. “What excited me about advertising was the chance to work in a creative, fast-paced environment, where everyday brings a new challenge and you have to be able to think on your feet.”

Linktia welcomes Director, Business Development

Philippe Vignal has been appointed as the new Director, Business Development for the Linktia group. An experienced professional with over 25 years in advertising, media production and technology, Philippe is a founding partner of Serena Digital, originally based in Spain. He most recently was in charge of international business development for Serena Digital, with a focus on managing global client accounts in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, as well the new operation of Serena Middle East. In joining Linktia, Philippe will oversee all business development for the group.

“I feel very fortunate to be working with such a multidisciplinary group of talented and caring humans,” says Philippe. “I look forward to being part of the group’s growth.”

Neha Mishra promoted at Linktia

Neha Mishra has been promoted at Linktia to the position of Head of Photography and Production for Magnet Photo Production. Having been with the content production group since 2010, Neha first joined Linktia as a Senior Producer for Bareface Productions.

Producing over 300 campaigns in the MENA region and internationally, some of Neha’s most notable campaigns include producing Hello Tomorrow for Emirates Airlines, consecutive Rolex campaigns with Roger Federer and a Microsoft campaign with Todd Selby and Norman Jean Roy. In her new position, Neha will oversee all photography and production content for Magnet Photo Production.

“The Linktia group has an amazing culture of developing people from within the brands, which means that our team has grown together over the years,” says Neha. “This is something I’m very much in sync with and will focus to endorse. I welcome the opportunity to work with all of our talent and to develop Magnet further by focusing on producing great work regionally and internationally.

Heather McDonald joins Linktia

Heather McDonald has joined content production group Linktia as Partner and Business Development Manager. Having been in Dubai since 2008, Heather has worked with Alchemy Films, first as a Producer and most recently as General Manager. In her new role, Heather will oversee Linktia’s business development, with a focus on building long term relationships with new and existing clients.

“Having worked as the General Manager for Alchemy Films for the past six years, the transition to Linktia provides a fantastic career growth opportunity,” says Heather. “Linktia is a group of market leading companies and dynamic individuals, with brands including Alchemy Films, Aperto Middle East, arabianEye, Bareface, Corbis, Magnet and The Studio. Emicom Media announces rebrand

Emicom Media has launched a full rebrand and redesign, inclusive of a company name change to Linktia in order to represent the group’s current objectives, positioning and values. Founded in 2011, Emicom Media – now Linktia – was initially made up of a collective that included Bareface, Alchemy Films and arabianEye. The group specialises and invests in content production, talent management, online platforms and technology solutions in the MENA region, and owns or represents market-leading companies including Corbis (MENA exclusive representative), Magnet, The Studio and Aperto Middle East.
