The Alliance, organisers of the Middle East Film and Comic Con and GAMES Middle East, has appointed Katch International as its communications agency to launch ANI:ME, a Japanese pop culture and Anime festival, held in collaboration with Yas Island. ANI:ME will run from October 27 until October 29, 2016 at the du Forum, Yas Island and will feature Japanese anime, manga, cinema, music, games, fashion and food. Katch will be working to boost awareness of the event across the region.
“The scope and the challenge of launching a project for the first time is definitely massive,” says Arafaat Ali Khan, Director of Communications, The Alliance. “We are excited and confident that with the help of Katch International as our appointed PR agency and other partners, we will be able to deliver a truly memorable Japanese pop culture and anime festival that will thrill an audience locally, regionally and further attract guests from across the world.”
Georgie Woollams, Managing Director, Katch International, adds “Having worked with The Alliance for a number of projects, our partnership is only bound to get stronger. We are so honoured to be part of launching ANI:ME in this region and like the other successful events of The Alliance, we are eager to bring to our audience the same passion and quality of work to create unique experiences that will set the stone for making ANI:ME a highly anticipated phenomenon in the UAE’s calendar for years to come.”
