Women’s Health Middle East available now

The first issue of Women’s Health Middle East is now available on newstands with an eye-catching image of Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba adorning the front cover. The new ITP Consumer-run publication, has a print run of 16,000 copies and is currently available in English language.

Headed up by Yi-Hwa Hanna and assisted by Deputed Editor, Ashley Lane, the publication focuses on health, nutrition and fitness, while also covering fashion, beauty, advice, travel, food and lifestyle. The launch will be celebrated this Tuesday night with a lavish party to welcome the first issue.

A big step forward for The Soul Republic

After a soft launch at the beginning of 2014, Corie Weaver has announced his lifestyle blog, The Soul Republic, is officially launched. Featuring men’s fashion, auto, travel, technology, culture, food and more, the site will be a go-to resource for emerging news and trends in urban lifestyle from a cultivated, upscale perspective.

TheSoulRepublic.com is an online lifestyle blog geared towards the modern man, but features news and trends that are attractive to everyone,” says website Creator and Editor, Corie Weaver. “The response from our soft launch was immediately positive and is continuously growing, so now we are ready to bring The Soul Republic to the world.”

 

Piotr Wnuk joins SPI Publishing

Piotr Wnuk, who previously worked as Social Media and Communications Coordinator for Towers Watson in the United Kingdom, has joined the SPI Publishing team in Dubai as Assistant Editor.

Amey Borkar joins SPI Publishing

Amey Borkar has joined the SPI Publishing team as Assistant Editor. Amey, who previously worked as Copy Editor and Features Writer at Gomantak Times in Goa, India, will be reporting and editing for three magazines, Intelligent SME, Robust RAK and Apps Middle East.

Europe’s Transform Awards to debut in Middle East

Europe’s revered Transform Awards Programme is launching its inaugural Transform Awards MENA, to be held in Dubai in June 2014. The event, which until now has been held exclusively in London, is Europe’s only awards dedicated to creative agencies’ rebranding work. But, with the expanding number of prestigious ad and branding agencies in the Middle East, Cravenhill Publishing, the awards organisers, has broadened its reach to the MENA region.

MediaCom appoints new Bid Media Manager

MediaCom MENA has appointed Clare Thornton as its new Regional Bid Media Manager to head up its search and bid media product. Clare joins MediaCom MENA from MEC London, where she played a pivotal role as a lead on accounts such as Johnson & Johnson and Lloyds Banking Group and was responsible for several award-winning projects including the Lloyds Torchview campaign.

Catherine Watson joins Harvey Nichols PR team

Catherine Watson has joined the Harvey Nichols Dubai team as PR manager. Catherine, who previously worked as Communications Manager for Havas PR, joins as part of Al Tayer Insignia, the largest luxury retailer in the Middle East.
