Alison Towle promoted at ITP

Alison Towle has been promoted to Advertising Director of the Grazia Middle East Group. Having joined ITP Publishing in 2012 for the launch of OK! Middle East as Senior Sales Manager, Alison was most recently Group Advertising Manager for Grazia Middle East. In her new role, Alison heads up the sales team across Grazia Middle East, Grazia Qatar, Grazia Luxury, Grazia Bahrain, Grazia Style Awards and Grazia Fest.

Fatema Moursy joins Strategies International

Fatema Moursy has joined the Strategies International team as PR Executive. Her first role in public relations, Fatema previously worked as Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Canadian fashion brand, Travis Taddeo, focusing on social media marketing and client communications. In her new position, Fatema will assist the PR managers on client portfolios, PR plan development, press kit distribution and onsite event support.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this dynamic team of talented women,” says Fatema. “I’m excited to learn and gain experience from my new position, and I look forward to starting off my career with Strategies International.”

Warrick Godfrey joins Namshi

Warrick Godfrey has joined Namshi.com as Chief Marketing Officer. Warrick brings to his new role a wealth of international experience across e-commerce, retail and travel sectors, having worked in both web and online marketing in his previous positions which include leading partnerships for Facebook’s products and advertising solutions across the Sub-Saharan Africa region, and Co-Founding Cobone.com. He will now direct the overall strategic direction and marketing efforts of the Middle East’s leading online fashion platform.

“This is an incredibly exciting move,” says Warrick. “Namshi already has a strong reputation for online fashion that sets the standard for others to follow in the Middle East. I look forward to telling the Namshi story and building on its existing success.”

Dina Butti leaves Dubai One TV

Dina Butti is leaving Dubai One TV after five years as a Presenter and Writer for the Dubai One Channel. Dina has most recently worked as a Presenter and Writer for Dubai One TV’s celebrity program, That’s Entertainment, which entailed reporting on local and international gossip stories, interviewing celebrities visiting the region and covering red carpet events – from DIFF to the 2014 Oscars. Dina has also previously presented on Studio One, Out & About, City Wrap and numerous live events.

“I will forever be grateful to Dubai One for allowing me to realise my dream of becoming a television presenter – I not only got to meet my idols, but I experienced an astounding number of adventures,” says Dina. “As I prepare to embark on my next creative challenge (more details to come soon), I will cherish the memories I have gained over the past five years and use them to inspire my future.”

BUZZEFF launches video ad formats in MEA region

BUZZEFF – in partnership with TEADS – has launched new video advertising formats in the MEA region. Offering solutions for digital communication, the new formats are designed to offer advertisers unprecedented opportunities for communicating with their target audience.

The Moroccan-based video advertising agency will offer three different services, which will provide solutions for the advertising market across the region – 

Buzzeff Media – A communication channel that allows exclusive distribution through media publishers in the MEA region, with precise geographic targeting and a format suitable for premium brands communication. Unlike Instream advertising, Buzzeff Media’s video advertising outstream will be broadcast outside of traditional video stream – it can be placed between paragraphs of an article, two images in a show, or in the flow of news on a smart phone.

Buzzeff Social – A service specific to a broadcast on blogs, as well as social networking and gaming websites.

Buzzeff Mobile – Targeting mobile users, this service can be distributed via a network of websites in a mobile version. The player display ads automatically adapts to the format of the terminal, whether a smartphone or tablet, offering a unique multimedia experience.

All tenders will benefit from online reporting tools offered by Buzzeff to allow measurement of ROI advertising campaigns.

Abeer Salman joins Strategies International

Abeer Salman has joined Strategies International as PR Manager. With a wide range of experience across PR and marketing roles – in-house as well as agency – Abeer was most recently handling the PR department of COS – a clothing brand under the H&M division – for Kuwait and Dubai markets. In her new position, she will manage the PR accounts for Clarins Group Middle East, Charriol and Al Fahim Italia – which includes fragrances from Versace, Moschino and John Richmond.

“I am delighted to be a part of this great team and am excited to see what the future brings at Strategies International,” says Abeer. “I am also looking forward to the challenges ahead and being able to develop and grow with the team.

TCApr appoints a new Account Manager

Ellis Nicholls has joined the TCApr team as Account Manager. Ellis joins from London where she previously worked across fashion brands as Account Executive for IPR, and in her new position will represent five-star luxury hotels based in Monaco, the Maldives, Seychelles and Mauritius, as well as with the El Corte Ingles department store, with a primary focus on English media.

“After working solely on fashion brands within the UK market for three years, I am excited to not only work within a different field, but to experience a new market,” says Ellis. “It’s great to join a new team which boasts so many different working backgrounds and experiences – I’m definitely going to learn a lot!”

Namrata Manghnani joins The Indian Trumpet

Namrata Manghnani this week joins The Indian Trumpet magazine as Social Media Executive and Editorial Support. Upon joining the team, Namrata will be writing engaging articles and creating communications content to promote the magazine, as well as managing The Indian Trumpet‘s online social media platforms.

Logistics News ME magazine launches

Logistics News ME magazine has launched across the Middle East. The monthly B2B publication will be circulated across the GCC, with most of the circulation concentrated in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. With 5,240 copies to be distributed on a complimentary basis to logistics professionals, as well as those in other sectors that cross-over with logistics, Logistics News ME provides focused, accurate and up-to-date business information and market intelligence on the supply chain management and logistics industry in the Middle East.
