Sharjah’s first English language radio station makes new appointment

Abdul Karim Hanif has been appointed to the role of News Presenter at Pulse 95 Radio. With a wealth of experience in the media industry, Abdul previously worked with City 7 TV where he held the role of News and Sports Presenter and most recently worked with Euronews in Abu Dhabi where he was a freelance correspondent. In his new role, Abdul will produce and present news content that focuses on all the latest developments in Sharjah.

City 7 TV changes ownership

Following the recent announcement that well-established Saudi-Arabian news channel, Al-Arab has ceased operations, another channel in the region has been on the brink of closure leading to a change of ownership. Dubai-based English language television channel, City 7 TV formerly part of BinHendi Enterprises, will now operate under the umbrella of WeTel-TV, a TV platform for global educational news and current affairs. The new acquisition will be headed by President and Editor-in-Chief of WeTel-TV, Adil Matin and will also see City 7 TV continue operations, but as a new educational TV in the UAE.

Media community unite to help friend in need

The UAE’s media community is uniting to help Jeff Price, who has been diagnosed with a rare brain condition that his medical insurance won’t cover. A member of the media community in the UAE for over 22 years, Jeff has hosted numerous radio and TV shows, helped to launch City 7 TV, Radio 1 as well as Radio 2 and voiced family entertainment for many premium events such as Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, Legends Rock Dubai Tennis and Dubai Duty Free Tennis. He has championed causes across the region and raised funds for a number of charities, projects and causes.
