New International Sales Director at The MediaVantage

The MediaVantage has appointed Dan Qayyum to the role of International Sales Director. With over 16 years of sales experience, Dan previously worked in the UK with Phones4U as Store Manager before moving to the UAE where he most recently worked with BSA Consultants as Senior Manager Sales Operations. In his new role, he will be responsible for hiring and training the sales staff while managing sales operations as well as securing new business and media acquisitions. He will also focus on reaching new heights in the company’s international media capabilities and expertise.

Lucy previously worked with COPIA as Communications Manager, where she managed campaigns such as CATCH Dubai, Sass Café and Blue Marlin Ibiza Dubai. She most recently worked with Seven Media as PR Director and handled a number of clients including Jumeirah Restaurant Group, Nando’s KSA and INGLOT. LIGHTBLUE* appoints new Partner

Dubai-based experiential agency, LIGHTBLUE* has promoted Craig Borthwick to the role of Partner. Craig joined LIGHTBLUE* in 2012 as Account Director and most recently held the role of Client Services Director, where he worked with brands such as Adidas, Heineken and Mercedes. In his new role, he will commit to offering brands an integrated approach with experiential marketing and help expand and build relationships with global brands.

Vogue Arabia appoints new Fashion Director

Vogue Arabia has appointed Katie Trotter to the role of Fashion Director. With over ten years of experience in the luxury fashion industry, Katie previously worked with Alexander McQueen and most recently with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, part of ITP Media Group, where she worked on photo shoots, editorial, feature writing, branded content and film. In her new role, she will oversee all fashion content for the monthly publication across the region.

RBBi welcomes Ryan Garner

Digital marketing agency, Red Blue Blur Ideas (RBBi), has appointed Ryan Garner to the role of Head of Paid Media. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick, Ryan worked in Dublin with iProspect as Paid Search Account Director and most recently held the role of Head of Paid Search before moving to the UAE. In his new role, he will be responsible for the media offerings and in delivering regular improvements to drive media performance.

Broadcast specialist agency, markettiers welcomes Hadeel Mansour to the role of Account Executive. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from the American University of Sharjah, and a Baccalaureate in Economics and Social Studies from Lycee Francais Louis Massignon – Abu Dhabi, Hadeel most recently worked with noon.com as Customer Experience Coordinator, where she worked on planning and research. In her new role, she will work with clients across the region while using her trilingual skills in Arabic, English and French to sell stories and content to Arabic media, and enable the company to access Arabic audiences as well as gain recognition among native and expat communities.
