MEPRA to host Leadership Majlis in May

The Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) will host the second edition of the MEPRA Leadership Majlis at The Ritz Carlton, Abu Dhabi on May 25, 2016, bringing together industry representatives to discuss the topic of ‘The Future of Public Relations in the Middle East: Innovation, Disruption and Relevance’. With over 200 guests expected, the speaker line-up for the event includes: Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairwoman, Media Zone Authority-Abu Dhabi and twofour54; Peter Baumgartner, CEO, Etihad Airways and Rania Roston, Chief Innovation and Communications Officer, GE.

“The response to our inaugural Majlis was extremely positive and our programme of speakers for this year is even stronger,” says Brian Lott, Chairman, MEPRA Board. “This event showcases the unique talent we have in the region and best practices from some of our most prominent practitioners, with fresh insights into the rapid changes happening in our industry.”

twofour54 and ADMAF to partner

twofour54 has renewed its partnership with the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) for a sixth consecutive year, in an effort to support creative and cultural industries in the UAE, as well as nurture skills development for the media sector. Both parties have signed a Letter of Cooperation signifying a mutual interest to collaborate on programmes in various disciplines of media and creativity.

The two organisations will team up to develop joint activities that foster growth, development and awareness of media as well as the creative and cultural industries in the UAE, with a focus on young adult Emiratis and the wider Emirati community. The partnership will also establish a new mechanism for effective sharing of information amongst the filmmaking community, aiming to support emerging and established Emirati film-makers.

AAM to honour Noura Al Kaabi

American Abroad Media (AAM) will honour Noura Al Kaabi, CEO, twofour54, at an awards dinner in Washington later this month in recognition of her role in leading the UAE’s growing media industry. This will be the third annual “Power of Film” awards dinner at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., held to honour those whose work exemplifies the power of media to inform, educate and empower citizens about the critical social and public policy issues of our time.

Noura Al Kaabi joins LinkedIn’s Global Influencers

Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of twofour54, is the first woman from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to be selected for LinkedIn’s Global Influencer Programme, a platform for leaders in their respective geographies and industries to share their insights and discuss topics of interest on the social network aimed at professionals.

Approximately 500 personalities hold the LinkedIn Influencer badge globally, including: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President Barack Obama, Bill Gates and Arianna Huffington.

twofour54 and ADMM to partner

twofour54 and Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at aiding the promotion of motorsports in Abu Dhabi to a worldwide audience. This MoU lays the ground for twofour54 to potentially provide ADMM with a range of services including production, post-production and training services, as well as travel, visa facilitation and government services. twofour54 will also be in a postion to provide strategic media consultancy and facilitation services to ADMM upon project requests.

Image Nation transferred to twofour54

At a board meeting chaired by His Excellency Mohamed Ebrahim Al Mahmood, Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Media, the decision has been made to transfer Image Nation to Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority, twofour54. Founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media, Image Nation serves to help build foundations for the development of the entertainment industry in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

“Abu Dhabi Media is proud to have witnessed Image Nation grow so rapidly over just six years into one of the leading creators of media and entertainment content in Abu Dhabi and the UAE,” says His Excellency Mohamed Ebrahim Al Mahmood. “Following a thorough examination of the prospects for future growth of the company and given our vision to focus on media content in the region, the Board of Directors feel it is the ideal time to transfer Image Nation to the Abu Dhabi Media Zone (twofour54). This move will ensure that Image Nation is in a position to continue creating quality media content for local and international audiences, and will benefit the local industry by creating jobs and opportunities for professional development, in collaboration with key international partners.”
