In Touch magazine to launch in September

In Touch magazine, a premium lifestyle publication catering to the high-end and luxury consumer audience in the UAE is set to launch in September. The magazine will have an initial print run of 10, 000 copies and will be distributed free of charge to recipients in their home, as well as within lounges of leading establishments. An online version will also be available through a subscription mailing list.

The publication will cover a number of topics, including news and events, as well as features on hospitality, fashion, cars and travel, and will  be available in both Arabic and English. In Touch will be headed up by Umaima Tinwala, Managing Editor of the In Touch Group, and will be published by Media Touch. A website will be launched following the September issue’s release.

“It’s always a challenge to launch a new publication in a market that most people think is already saturated,” says Umaima. “But I believe that quality always trumps quantity – when you see and read the magazine, you will know what I mean. I’m looking forward to working on this very exciting new venture.”

Alamy partners with arabianEye

Dubai-based creative resource arabianEye had secured a new partnership with Alamy to represent their image and footage library in the MENA region. The new partnership will give arabianEye clients access to more than 60 million new images, arabianEye will also be adding Alamy’s MENA-relevant content to their website.

Surena Chande joins BBC Good Food

BBC Good Food magazine, part of CPI Media Group, has welcomed Surena Chande to the role of Assistant Editor. Bringing over two years of experience in writing and editing to her new role, Surena will be responsible for planning and conceptualising content, writing, editing and proofing a range of articles as well as weekly newsletters and uploading website content.

ShortList welcomes Amany Saghir

ShortList UAE, an Arab Publishing Partners publication, has welcomed Amany Saghir to the role of Advertising Manager. Having previously worked as Advertising Manager at Cosmopolitan, Amany has over two years of experience in advertising as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration.

In her new role with ShortList UAE, Amany will be responsible for finding and selling creative solutions to clients both online and in print. She will also deal with ShortList’s international offices, as well as media agencies.

 

Meltwater to host free live webinar

MMG to launch MMG Talent Connect

Model Management agency MMG Models and Eventz will launch its new talent portal MMG Talent Connect – www.mmgtalent.com – on August 1, 2015. The new portal will connect directors and clients from the fashion industry, such as Editors and Events Co-ordinators, directly to models, hosts, photographers, hairstylists, stylists, make-up artists, actors and cast. Clients will be able to browse portfolios of talents registered with MMG Talent Connect, and start booking directly through the portal.

Gulf News Publishing welcomes Mona Motamedi

Mona Motamedi has joined Gulf News Publishing as Events and Promotions Manager. Mona previously worked as an Account Manager at advertising agency Atom, and brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and events to her new role.

As Events and Promotions Manager, Mona will be responsible for events, promotions and marketing related to the branding of Gulf News Publishing titles such as AquariusInside OutAlphaWheels and Friday Magazine.

“My background is in marketing, it’s what I’ve done all my life,” says Mona. “However events are what I am passionate about. What better then, to combine both with a position in such a well established company as Gulf News!”

Dan Bolton launches new creative consultancy

Dubai-based talent management and creative consultancy, Dan Bolton FZ LLC has launched. The agency was founded by Dan Bolton, an events professional with over seven years of experience in the entertainment and events industry in the Middle East, and Kaveh Anooshiravani, a serial entrepreneur and partner in a venture capital firm.

Dan Bolton will manage the careers and opportunities of talent represented, as well as becoming involved with clients in a consulting capacity, from the initial pitch stage through to implementation. The agency is already working on events with partners such as The Act Dubai and US-based Style Fashion Week.

Melanie Mingas joins BNC Publishing

BNC Publishing has welcomed Melanie Mingas to the role of Group Editor of its business portfolio. Melanie previously worked with CPI Media Group as Group Managing Editor, and has over five years of experience in journalism.

In her new role, she will lead the continued growth of Catering News Middle EastConstruction Business News Middle EastHotel News Middle East and Logistics News Middle East in print, online and through a series of industry events. Melanie will also lead the group’s B2B digital communications and manage the direction of a series of events due to take place over the coming months.
