Ahlan! magazine reveals new editorial team

Ahlan! magazine, part of ITP Media Group, has made major appointments and structural changes to reveal a brand new editorial team. Mark Dinning, previously Editor-in-Chief of British film magazine, Empire has been appointed to the role of Editorial Director. He brings with him extensive experience in the publishing and entertainment industry and will focus on new projects as well as the development of the brand’s digital and print portfolio.

Following the appointment of Andre Neveling as Editor, Ellen Kerry will be joining him as Deputy Editor. Having previously worked in the UK with heat magazine as Style Editor and most recently as a freelance Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Editor, Ellen will take on her new role and work alongside Andre across local and international editorial content of the title.

Elizabeth Ingram will take on the role of Managing Art Director, ITP Consumer. With experience in working on global media titles including Time Out magazine as Group Art Director and Grazia magazine as Senior Designer, Elizabeth’s new role will be to oversee the art direction of the Ahlan! brand.

Previously Advertising Director at Ahlan! magazine, Walid Chehab has been promoted to Commercial Director of the Ahlan! Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the revenue across the brand’s print, digital and event portfolio.

gourmet gets a new look

The latest issue of gourmet magazine, part of ITP Publishing Group, has been given a new look that features more up-to-the-minute content from a new editorial team. The home-grown monthly publication was redesigned over the summer to celebrate its fifth birthday this month and will now be headed up by Editorial Director Mark Dinning, Editor Paul Clifford and Art Editor Elizabeth Stanley.

As well as a new design, a number of new regular features have been created including; a gadget section, barbecuing guide The Grill and Your Kitchen Nightmares, in which celebrity chef Greg Malouf answers readers’ questions about kitchen conundrums. The updated September 2016 edition of the magazine will also be the last issue helmed by former Editor-In-Chief, Jasmine Bandali.

Time Out Dubai gets a makeover

Weekly, Dubai-based print publication, Time Out Dubai has been redesigned. The updated version of the magazine, part of ITP Publishing Group, will be available from September 16, 2015 from newsstands across the city. Launched in 2001 and headed up by Editor Mark Dinning, Time Out Dubai is a listings magazine that covers cultural and consumer life, with 43,000 copies distributed locally.

The magazine was redesigned in response to research into Time Out Dubai readers and will now include a minimum of 112 pages every week, with more features, reviews and photography, as well as additional insight into things to see and do in Dubai. The magazine will also now be distributed via Emirates departure gates for all Dubai-bound flights from London’s Heathrow airport. Time Out Dubai’s relaunch will be supported by a campaign across radio stations in the Emirate, as well as increased retail presence and an increase in distribution of the publication to residences, cafes, salons and events. In addition to the print magazine’s relaunch, a new-look website – www.timeoutdubai.com – will follow later in the year.
