Changes at ITP Media Group

Stylist Arabia and OK! Middle East are set to close down. Falling under the umbrella of ITP Media Group, women’s lifestyle magazine Stylist Arabia will discontinue production with its July/August 2017 edition being its final issue. In addition, celebrity lifestyle magazine, OK! Middle East will also follow suit with its last volume to be published at the end of this month. The two lifestyle magazines will also discontinue all digital operations on their mobile applications following the closures.

Ahlan! magazine reveals new editorial team

Ahlan! magazine, part of ITP Media Group, has made major appointments and structural changes to reveal a brand new editorial team. Mark Dinning, previously Editor-in-Chief of British film magazine, Empire has been appointed to the role of Editorial Director. He brings with him extensive experience in the publishing and entertainment industry and will focus on new projects as well as the development of the brand’s digital and print portfolio.

Following the appointment of Andre Neveling as Editor, Ellen Kerry will be joining him as Deputy Editor. Having previously worked in the UK with heat magazine as Style Editor and most recently as a freelance Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Editor, Ellen will take on her new role and work alongside Andre across local and international editorial content of the title.

Elizabeth Ingram will take on the role of Managing Art Director, ITP Consumer. With experience in working on global media titles including Time Out magazine as Group Art Director and Grazia magazine as Senior Designer, Elizabeth’s new role will be to oversee the art direction of the Ahlan! brand.

Previously Advertising Director at Ahlan! magazine, Walid Chehab has been promoted to Commercial Director of the Ahlan! Group. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the revenue across the brand’s print, digital and event portfolio.

Time Out Dubai Announces 2017 awards date

Time Out Dubai is set to host its eighth annual Music & Nightlife Awards on March 29, 2017 at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. With the nominees to be revealed on March 8 exclusively on timeoutdubai.com, the award event will see high profile figures in the music and nightlife circuit in attendance to celebrate the past 12 months of independent reviews of the restaurant and nightlife industries across Dubai. The winners will be announced at the end of the event followed by an exclusive after-party that will take place at the Cavalli Club.

ITP Live announces talent signings

ITP Media Group’s new digital division, ITP Live, has announced the signing of 26 key personalities to its influencer agency, including designers, YouTube stars, business thought leaders, models, beauty ambassadors, fashionistas, an Olympian and a 15-year old sneaker aficionado. It will now represent and oversee all commercial deals for Abdulla Al Abdulla, Afra AlMarri, Aishwarya Ajit, Ali Al Jassmii, Aljuhara Sajer, AlReem Saif, Andy Scott, Elnaz Golrokh, Gehna Advani, Hala Abdallah, Hamid Fadaei, John Marques, Khalid AlAmeri, Mariam Yeya, Max Bouchard, Michel Salgado, Nadine Du Toit, Naomi D’Souza, Nina Ali, Nina Zandnia, Omar Al Busaidy, Rashid Belhasa, Rosemin Manji, Searina Abdel Kader, Zeynab El-Helw and Zoe Bowker.

ITP Live’s social influencer agency operates across the GCC and has already started working with brands including DTCM and P&G. March will see ITP Live hold its first influencer event, and the agency’s website will launch as more talent is signed.

ITP launches new division

ITP Publishing Group has launched its new digital division, ITP Live. The new division is set to extend the digital footprint of ITP and APP Media Groups’ brands across the region. The new division aims to provide new content creation opportunities for commercial partners and will focus on the region’s social influencer agencies, video content creation and digital sales representation as well as ecommerce and live events.

“ITP Live is an exciting new addition to the company,” says Ali Akawi, Managing Director, ITP Publishing Group. “It will work horizontally to maximise opportunities across our brands and vertically by creating its own unique products. One of the horizontal aspects is video and as one of the most prolific content creators in the region we believe that creating video content is a natural extension of our business.”

Grazia Style Awards to be held in Qatar

Grazia magazine is set to host the Grazia Style Awards on November 21, 2016 at the Westin Doha Hotel and Spa in association with Salam stores and Mercedes-Benz in Qatar for the first time. The theme for the awards is ‘From Catwalk to Qatar’ and will be hosted by Alice Temperley to celebrate the industry’s achievements from favourite shopping destinations to the most influential personalities and their contribution to the fashion landscape. Arab Woman Awards UAE 2016 judges announced

The Arab Woman Awards UAE has announced the panel of judges for its 2016 edition. Launched by ITP Publishing group in 2009, the Arab Woman Awards recognises Arab women’s achievements in their different fields and aims to provide young women with inspirational role models.

This year’s judges board members will be chaired by HE Ameera bin Karam, Chairperson of the Sharjah Businesswomen Council. Other members of the 2016 judging panel will include; Sheikha Nawar Al Qassimi, Sharjah Art Foundation; Dr Nawal Al-Hosany, Masdar’s Director of Sustainability; HE Reem Alshemari, Director of Strategic Communications Affairs at the Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Noor Sweid, Partner at Leap Ventures; Nadine Y. Maalouf, Owner of the SME Advisory Group; Dr Mona Hammami, Director at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; Gina Tadros, Editor-in-Chief of Hello! Arabia; Abu Dhabi based businesswoman, Asma Al Fahim; TV presenter, Zeina Al Yaziji; and Dubai based designer Aljoud Lootah.
