Kat Lebrasse wins Grazia blogger of the year

Dubai-based blogger Kat Lebrasse has won Grazia blogger of the year at the 2015 Grazia Style Awards. Kat has a background in retail fashion and has worked with publications such as Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Emirates Woman and Grazia Middle East. Her blog – lebrasse.com – focusses on Kats personal style, as well as her style inspirations and various other interests which include health, beauty and travel.

“I feel so grateful and excited to be awarded blogger of the year,” says Kat. “I’m so proud of my blog and what I’ve achieved over the last 2 years and it’s the most amazing feeling to know that my hard work is also appreciated and acknowledged by the industry. I’m on top of the world right now and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!”

Grazia welcomes new Fashion & Beauty Editor

Sophie Bew has joined Grazia Middle East as Fashion and Beauty Editor. Joining the team from London where she has spent the last year and eight months as Senior Fashion Assistant for the UK edition of Grazia, Sophie brings more than four years of experience contributing to some of the UK’s most widely distributed glossy magazines such as Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar. A self-confessed beauty addict, Sophie will now apply her extensive experience in both writing and styling to her new role at Grazia Middle East.

Grazia Middle East welcomes new Assistant Editor

Shitika Anand has been appointed as the Assistant Editor for Grazia Middle East. A freelance journalist with extensive experience across the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry, Shitika has been published in Forbes Travel, The Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, Instyle, CNN International and Women’s Health magazine, to name but a few.

Prior to joining the ITP Publishing team, Shitika was based in London where she held the positions of Fashion Assistant for SHOP magazine as well as Editorial Freelancer at Women’s Wear Daily, additionally managing the role of remote Managing Editor and Social Media Manager for Australia-based online platform AmeliaPhillips.com.au. Shitika’s expansive knowledge will now be applied to her new position with the weekly lifestyle publication, led by Editor-in-Chief Alison Tay.

Grazia Middle East welcomes new Deputy Editor

Grazia Middle East has welcomed Elle Blakeman as its new Deputy Editor. Joining the team from London, Elle brings an impressive range of editorial experience to her new role, having worked at a number of publications including Marie Claire, InStyle and Harper’s Bazaar. Prior to joining Grazia Middle East, Elle was with Runwild Media Group where she was Editor for monthly luxury lifestyle title The Mayfair Magazine and The Mayfair Magazine Arabic, overseeing and planning across the magazine in addition to being heavily involved in developing its shape, from tone to layout.

In her new position, Elle will be supporting Editor-in-Chief Alison Tay to produce the weekly luxury fashion title.

Laura-Jane Cooper promoted at ITP

Laura-Jane Cooper has been promoted to Senior Sales Manager at Grazia Middle East. Formerly Sales Manager for the lifestyle publication, Laura-Jane has been with ITP Publishing since 2012, selling advertising, sponsorship, creative solutions, photo shoots and tailored bespoke packages for the fashion and beauty industry across the Grazia portfolio. In her new role, Laura-Jane will report to the Advertising Director and will continue to be responsible for managing an extensive client base, delivering top line revenue growth for Grazia Middle East.

Alison Towle promoted at ITP

Alison Towle has been promoted to Advertising Director of the Grazia Middle East Group. Having joined ITP Publishing in 2012 for the launch of OK! Middle East as Senior Sales Manager, Alison was most recently Group Advertising Manager for Grazia Middle East. In her new role, Alison heads up the sales team across Grazia Middle East, Grazia Qatar, Grazia Luxury, Grazia Bahrain, Grazia Style Awards and Grazia Fest.

Alison Tay joins Grazia Middle East

Alison Tay has joined ITP Publishing Group as Editor-in-Chief of Grazia Middle East. Having previously held the role of Style Editor at British celebrity weekly Now magazine, Alison brings over 15 years of experience interviewing and styling international celebrities, a nomination for Fashion Journalist of the Year 2014 by UK’s industry portal Fashion Monitor, and her expertise as TV opinionista for BBC News,  ITV1, Sky News and Channel 4.

Alison joins the team to head up the Grazia portfolio of titles across the Middle East, taking in Grazia Middle East, Grazia Bahrain and Grazia Luxury.

Aishwarya Tyagi joins Grazia Middle East

Aishwarya Tyagi has joined the Grazia Middle East and Grazia Bahrain team as Picture Editor. Previously a Freelancer assisting the fashion team at Vogue India,  Aishwarya most recently acted as PR Account Executive at The Qode, where her role included developing communications strategies for clients as well as planning and executing events to promote brand awareness. As Picture Editor, Aishwarya will be overseeing the visual aspects of the magazine and will be assisting the art and features team to create the highest standard editorial content.

A stylish farewell for Rebecca Kelsey

After two years at Grazia Middle East, Fashion & Beauty Editor Rebecca Kelsey today steps down from her position as she prepares to return to the UK on November 30th.

“I have decided after two wonderful years on Grazia Middle East, and three in the Middle East, that it is time to return home to London to be with my husband,” says Rebecca. “It is with a heavy heart I leave Dubai, and I want to stress how much I have thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone.”

 

Naomi Chadderton embarks on new chapter

The Dubai Mall Magazine bids farewell to Naomi Chadderton today as she prepares to leave Dubai to embark on a new chapter of her career in London, United Kingdom. As she hangs up her Editor’s shoes, the much-loved journalist – who has lived in Dubai for over five years and previously worked for Grazia Middle East – hands over the reins to Cavell Mallett and Rachel Ingram until the new Editor is announced. Faye Rowe will continue to oversee the title as Group Editor.

“Today will be my last working day at NPI Media and The Dubai Mall Magazine,” says Naomi. “I will be moving back to the UK to pursue new opportunities, but it has been a great pleasure working with you all over the five years that I have been in Dubai.”
