Emirates Woman welcomes new Deputy Editor

UAE-based glossy Emirates Woman, part of Motivate Publishing, has appointed Nina Catt to the role of Deputy Editor. With over ten years of experience in the media industry, Nina was previously based in Australia, where she worked across a number of magazines including, donna hay, that’s life! and InStyle Australia. In her new role, she will work across the Emirates Woman group portfolio including Emirates Woman, Emirates Bride and Emirates Woman Mini plus contract publishing titles Jumeirah and SOUK.

Motivate promotes Kerry McDermott

Motivate Publishing has promoted Kerry McDermott to Deputy Editor of the Emirates Woman Group. Having previously worked as Features Editor for What’s On and Good magazines, Kerry has experience covering everything from nightlife and restaurant reviews at What’s On, to food, lifestyle advice and interiors at Good. She has also contributed to Jumeirah Magazine.

In her new role, Kerry will oversee features content including interviews, as well as all things health and travel related. She will predominantly be working across emirateswoman.com, Emirates Woman Mini, Emirates Woman Bride and Harvey Nichols – Dubai magazines.

“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the fantastic team at Emirates Woman and contributing to a great brand, both in print and online” Says Kerry.

Alexandra Bull steps down at Motivate Publishing

Alexandra Bull is moving on from her position as Picture Editor for Emirates Woman Group. A part of the team since 2013, Alexandra has managed the picture desk across various titles including Emirates Woman, Emirates Bride and Emirates Woman Mini, as well as producing content for emirateswoman.com. She now returns to Cape Town in South Africa, where she will work in custom publishing in an expanded role as Picture Editor and Designer working across print and digital.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work here at Motivate,” says Alexandra. “It’s a company which carries so much clout in the industry but still feels like a big family – one that I am definitely going to miss.”
