Markettiers4dc Group of Companies launch new podcast consultancy 

Markettiers4dc Group of Companies has launched a strategic podcast consultancy 4DC. The podcast consultancy aims to serve brands seeking to understand the opportunity and value of radio-on-demand. The consultancy will offer brands strategic consultancy, content development, production and distribution on a global scale.

“The podcast space is booming,” says Cheryl King, Managing Director, markettiers4dc MENA. “A lot of brands have their toe in the water because they want to be heard but don’t necessarily understand what the best approach is. Today’s launch of 4DC is a direct result of market dynamics, our strong heritage and expertise. The consultancy will enable brands to realise what’s possible when they strategically engage with podcast as a marketing and advertising channel.”

markettiers MENA makes new appointment

Broadcast PR specialists, markettiers MENA has appointed Lucy Davies to the role of Account Director. With over seven years within the agency in London, Lucy most recently worked with a variety of clients including DMCC, L’Oréal, Volkswagen and Audi. In her new role, Lucy will be responsible for overseeing client management, introducing new innovative routes to engage with audiences while driving the agency’s offerings when it comes to live streaming, video news releases and producing podcasts to mobilise audience behavior.

“After seven years being based in the London office, and supporting the UAE, I’m excited to make the move full time,” says Lucy. “It’s an ever changing landscape for PR professionals in the Middle East and I look forward to driving further growth and supporting the expansion in the region and beyond.”

Hadeel Mansour promoted at markettiers 

Broadcast PR specialists, markettiers has promoted Hadeel Mansour to the role of Senior Account Executive. With a wealth of experience in PR, Hadeel most recently held the role of Account Executive, where she supported the team with creative consultancy and worked with agencies and clients across key projects.

In her new role, she will manage the production and delivery of content and undertake targeted media relations while ensuring the campaigns deliver for both clients, brands and media owners.

“I’m very pleased with the experience I’ve gained working at markettiers MENA over the past year,” says Hadeel. “The team has been extremely supportive and helpful and it’s truly been a wonderful journey.  I’m excited to keep growing in the business and I look forward to the new challenges that this will bring.”

Markettiers makes new appointment 

Broadcast PR specialists, Markettiers has appointed Cheryl King to the role of Managing Director. With 12 years of experience in PR and communications, Cheryl most recently worked with markettiers and held the role of General Manager where she led the team in delivering three Guinness World Records. In her new role, she will lead the agency to achieve the communication objectives of brands in the region.

“Even in the relatively short time I have been in the region, the media landscape has changed dramatically,” says Cheryl. “Clients are now realising the potential that video offers, and it’s been fantastic to harness this power to enable clients to reach core and new audiences in innovative ways. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to further drive the growth of the operation, and to work with a team of talented individuals who are helping the region to shape its future and growth in digital.”

School of design to open in Dubai

The UAE announces the launch of Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), the first design university in the region, set to open in September, 2018 at the Dubai Design District (d3). The university’s curriculum will be developed with the support of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Parson’s School of Design for a Bachelors degree programs in Design that aims to create as well as cater for people planning to study Design courses across the Middle East.

Verizon buys Yahoo’s search and advertising operations

US telecoms company, Verizon Communications has bought Yahoo’s search and advertising operations for a deal of around $4.8bn. The telecoms company will now own Yahoo’s core Internet businesses of over a billion active users a month, to become a global mobile media company.
“Verizon is progressing its transformation to become a cross-screen advertising and media group,” says Juan Jose Rio, Partner, Advisory and Investment group, Delta Partners. “Through Yahoo, Verizon is harnessing a significant number of assets, including new advertising capabilities, but most relevant is its fixed and mobile advertising properties in the search, communication and digital content space. Whilst it remains to be seen what exactly Verizon will do with this latest acquisition and all its underlying assets, including those beyond the US borders, this may lead to similar deals and acquisitions between telcos and digital companies. More deals of a similar nature may be forged in the future, with telcos looking increasingly to leverage their connectivity and data assets to become powerful digital companies.”

markettiers welcomes Josh Baker

markettiers has welcomed Josh Baker to the role of New Business Development Specialist. Previously a Senior Consultant for MCG Associates where he aided in the companies growth and supported clients, Josh has over seven years of experience in media with a focus on marketing. In his new role, he will be using his prior experience to help impact and strengthen the broadcast consultancy’s regional relationships, working with Cheryl King, General Manager of the MENA region, to recreate markettiers’ success in the UK.
