phocal Media launches new image collection

Dubai-based photo platform, phocal Media has launched a new image collection that aims to illustrate the recent changes in attitudes in Saudi Arabia regarding women driving. A regionally-authentic visual media specialist, phocal Media is best known for its arabianEye collection that covers the Arab world. The company also works with a portfolio of strategic international partners including Alamy, Reuters and Magnum Photos.

“We’ve been gathering market feedback for some time, and it became clear from our creative partners that some fresh perspectives and faces were needed for client projects,” says Greg Aslangul, Managing Director, phocal Media. “The changes in Saudi Arabia have resulted in a shift in content needs for the region, and we wanted to adapt our content to reflect this.”

 

arabianEye partners with PA Images

Dubai-based creative resource, arabianEye, has secured a new, exclusive partnership with PA Images in order to represent its image library in the MENA region. The deal will give arabianEye’s clients access to over 11 million images on-line, supported by an archive that dates back to the 1860’s. arabianEye will also be giving PA Images access to a selection of its exclusive Middle Eastern library, which has grown over the last ten years to include over 90 thousand images and footage clips from a network of local contributors.

Alamy partners with arabianEye

Dubai-based creative resource arabianEye had secured a new partnership with Alamy to represent their image and footage library in the MENA region. The new partnership will give arabianEye clients access to more than 60 million new images, arabianEye will also be adding Alamy’s MENA-relevant content to their website.

Shilpa Abhilash promoted at arabianEye

Shilpa Abhilash has been promoted to the position of Account Manager at arabianEye. Having been with the company since 2013 as Account Executive, Shilpa has worked across a number of arabianEye’s editorial and commercial clients as it focuses on the distribution and production of stock images and videos in the MENA region. In her new position, she will now represent Corbis in the Middle East.

“Having lived and studied in Dubai all my life, I decided to build my career in this dynamic city and have worked at arabianEye ever since,” says Shilpa. “It’s been a rewarding and challenging experience – I’ve certainly learned a lot. I currently oversee sales, business development and content research and I look forward to continue growing with arabianEye. Working with beautiful images on a day-to-day basis is truly inspiring!”
