In 1965, with a degree in architecture, Paco Rabanne broke into the fashion industry. From plastic accessories made with clear acetate to shiny chain-link dresses, the designer Coco Chanel referred to as ‘the metalworker’ opened people’s eyes to a rather cutting-edge take on fashion. Barely three years later, when Paris was wrought with socio-cultural and artistic upheavals, Antonio, Mariano and Enrique Puig met Paco Rabanne. Convinced of his talent, they decided to work with him and ad his brand name to their family business.
